An Inspired Idea

Millicent Witter isn’t feeling particularly festive this holiday season. Loss has been the prevailing theme in her life for awhile. When she happens upon a family comprised of a young mother and her three daughters in a supermarket, she becomes both acutely aware that the good Lord has blessed her and that the young family could use a helping hand.

A simple, kind gesture on her part prompts her to realize that it takes very little to enliven someone’s day—to enliven someone’s life. Millicent embarks upon a plan to anonymously brighten the holidays of many, however, when someone questions the motives of the woman people have come to call Mrs. Claus, it appears her efforts might have been for naught as her world comes crashing down on her.
