Day Drunk by Willow Scarlett
I don’t have to tell you what it’s like to fall in love with your best friend.
He’s seen you through highs and lows, knows you better than anyone else, and has always had your back. You can’t imagine life without him.
And then you realize you want more…

I was just another struggling photographer before I met Aish. Taking photos of bands on weekends, dreaming of ditching college and my dead-end job, finally making friends and moving out of home. Then Aish rocketed into my life with his messy hair and studded jackets and restless punk energy. I was hooked from the moment I saw him.
I couldn’t resist taking photos, and Aish loved the attention. Soon we were seeing each other every week, then every day. My photos of Aish and his friends won me the photography career of my dreams. Now I live with Aish’s skater punk friends and he sleeps on my couch because I don’t have the courage to ask him to crash in my room. I’m so in love with him that one stray touch, one kiss, would be the end of me.
He’s my best friend. I know how well we fit together. So I know how much I have to lose if things go wrong.
It’s hard to tell if he’s flirting with me sometimes or just performing for the camera. But even if he’s into me, I know I’ll still lose him if I make a move. Aish isn’t the kind of guy who does forever. He’s as hungry and restless with love as he is with everything else. I tell myself it’s enough to be the one he comes home to, the one who hears all his filthy stories at the end of the night.
Things are going okay. Until the night I mess up and kiss him.

Day Drunk is a standalone MM romance novella with a HEA and no cliffhangers. Punk Losers is a series of standalone stories set in the fictional Bridge City punk music scene, and can be read alone or in any order.
