She wondered if she had the nerve to ask him for more. "The thing is, I ..." Oh gosh, how was she going to say this? Just say it! He stilled, his hand frozen around a wooden spoon. After a moment he set the spoon on the counter and turned to face her. Actually, he gaped at her, which made the heat rushing into her face flame hot.
He swallowed. "Ye wish to marry me?"
