Old West drifter Haskell is just passing through when he sees a traveling snake oil show. Something makes him stop to check out the performance, and he finds and old friend in deep trouble.
Truett and Haskell were mates once, but now Truett is hostage to a man who uses shifters as a freakshow, making money on their misery. Haskell frees everyone he can, including his old love. Can he teach teach Truett to be human, or more than human, again?
