Dakota Grant was born and raised in Las Vegas and his parents could never resist a game of chance, so he knows firsthand that the city can be the Hard Luck Capitol of the World. When Dakota returns to his hometown as one of country music’s top stars, he fully expects the worse to happen. When an unfortunate mishap puts him in the hospital where he meets physical therapist Hayley Paxton his luck is about to change.

Hayley Paxton’s dad was a struggling musician who died on the road when she was just a child. Determined to avoid any man who spends his life on the road as a performer, she can’t believe her bad luck when she is assigned as Dakota’s therapist.

Hayley doesn’t fit Dakota’s description of what he likes in a woman. In fact she doesn’t even like him. Bored silly, and oddly attracted to the petite brunette, Dakota demands Hayley move into his suite so she can be at his beck and call.

As Hayley and Dakota clash wills and navigate their growing attraction to each other more bad luck is headed his way.

With a misguided publicist with a gambling problem and a lead guitarist who does his best to keep the country music star aggravated, Dakota and Hayley find themselves hoping Lady Luck will give them a helping hand.
