Broken Road

With no other choice, Madison has to leave her beloved home in Richmond, Virginia for the harsh plains of Montana, where a man is awaiting her arrival as his mail order bride.
Bad fortune seems to follow her across the country, as she learns upon her arrival that the man that was waiting for her recently passed away. Instead she meets the man’s brother and sister, living together in a quaint homestead. Finding Elizabeth Harbin

Elizabeth was a good girl who kept to herself and read the Bible. Though ignored by most in town, including her own family, she was the favorite target of a bully. Claire was the type of girl everyone wanted to be. Even Elizabeth’s mother wanted her to be like Claire, but she didn’t know just how cruel Claire could be. She tortured and alienated Elizabeth, all while masquerading as the town angel.
When one of Claire’s pranks went too far, Elizabeth knew she couldn’t stay in Bethel. In order to find happiness, she would have to reinvent herself, and the only way she was going to be able to do that was to go somewhere where no one knew her.
Elizabeth answers an ad stuck to the side of the church wall for a mail order bride. Excited by the prospect of starting over, she goes out west to meet Adam, her future husband; or so she thinks. Will this stubborn man set against marriage and this quiet southern girl who yearns for a real love learn to find common ground? Or is Elizabeth no better off than she was back home?

A Nurses Faith

Sara braved the horrors of Civil War battlefields as a nurse, helping the wounded and praying for the souls of the dead. When the war is over, she returns to her hometown in Tennessee, but there is little left but a hollowed-out shell of what it once was. With no other options, she is led -by chance or by God- to an advertisement for a mail order bride. Sara gathers what is left and sets her sights on Montana to meet a man she knows nothing about other than his name: Dr. James Ackerman.
As it turns out, James was expecting a wife and nothing more; but what he got was Sara. She soon shows herself to be much more than just a mate. The doctor is impressed with her medical skills and can maybe even learn a thing or two from her. But can Sara teach him the one thing he no longer believes he can learn: how to love again?
