It started on a bet...

...but now the man who brought the love of Ava's life to her is seeking revenge. The ragger Earl Tomalin wants nothing more than to see the death of Marquess York and Ava so he can return to the top of the Ton.

Little does Marquess York know distracted by his bigger plans for making money, while Ava ponders if their marriage is for business and not love.

This historical Regency romance offers gripping twists and tension between love and defending your honor, even at the price of dying.

Author Interview with Abigail Livingston

1. What made you write this book?

First, I love reading clean Regency romance and pride and prejudice variations so why not write one!

It can be easy writing romance, but when it's historical romance during the British Regency you have to know the finer details for the reader to feel the era.

2. Who is your favorite character?

Countess Ava, the heroine.

A lot of Regency romance novels are about a Duke or Earl, but I like writing plots around heroines who are strong, christian women.

3. What are your future plans for Countess Ava?

I want readers to connect with Countess Ava and learn over several stories how she doesn't become restricted to housewifery and enjoys adventure and independence. But at the same time, how she manages her ever-growing popularity among the Ton, and maintains her grace, will and honesty.
