Join the Whittaker family as they embark on the treacherous journey West…will they ever reach their destination? Will Amy ever find love? Will they ever find a place to call home?

In early spring of the year 1852, the Whittaker family leaves the security of their home in Illinois to embark on a 2,000-mile journey to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Amy Whittaker, the eldest daughter, tells the story of life on the Oregon Trail as the pioneers move their wagon train slowly west through a rugged and at times dangerous terrain. Love blossoms along the way as the pioneers make friends and forge close ties with other families travelling with them. They are forced to rely on their faith and draw on their inner strength to face the trials and tribulations along the trail. Hoping for a better life, moving west is the only chance the Whittakers have to make this happen. Is facing disease, death and danger worth it? Will they ever complete this long treacherous journey and find their way to the life of their dreams in the beautiful Willamette Valley? Will they ever find that place to finally call home?

AUTHOR’S NOTE: This is a stand-alone story with an HEA, so no cliffhangers!
