When privileged Mary Malcolm finds her life turned upside down by her husband's affairs, she turns to her estranged sister, Laurel for a place to stay, only to find herself even more miserable and wanting to return to her old life, even if Ken continues to stray. She wants her big house and the money and all her friends - she wants her life before the discovery of infidelity.

Ken keeps winning at everything, while Mary can't seem to catch a break - she feels like her life is a disaster and that it will never get better; her sister accuses her of being snooty and judgmental, to which Mary takes great offense - she most certainly is NOT! And yet she keeps finding herself judging Laurel's friends ... until she falls for one of them.

That's when Mary begins to see life differently, and things start to turn around for her. And then she gets to watch Ken's karma come back and bite him right in the ass.
