Long ago, in ancient Greece, a beautiful island rose to be a powerful, legendary city that was soon known to the world as Atlantis. But when all morals and values were lost, the ancient Greek gods grew angry and damned the city to a night of hellish fire and earthquakes that sunk the island. After that night, Atlantis was assumed dead, and after centuries, it was thought to be simply a myth.

But Atlantis is no more a myth than mermaids. Ayala, soon to be the queen of Atlantis, wants nothing more than to escape the binding oath her ancestors made in order to be saved from death. She yearns to learn about the strange two-legged creatures that roam the earth above, even when Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea, speaks of them cruelly, insisting they are terrible people that destroy the earth.

But when her curious visits to the Surface result in the death of many of her people, will she have to rethink her good will toward humans? Or worse, will she fall in love with one of them?
