Living out his days without any real goals or plans is just how eighteen year old Barret likes it. He has a job (okay working at his dad's surf shop in a place where there's no surf), he has his friends (at least he did before they all left for college), and he has his twin sister Stella, who, actually, he wouldn't mind avoiding for a while. Life just kind of goes on for Barret as he uses his gap year to decide what he wants to do and who he wants to be. When a famous celebrity enters the shop during Barret's shift, his blah life as he knows it will never be the same. When it seems like things with the Oscar nominee are heating up, Barret has to decide if he can trust his own heart or if love is something abstract that only exists in the movies.
