Expelled from private school for her wild out of school endeavors, 18-year-old spoiled brat, Larry "LaLa" Winters returns to her grandmother’s house on the south side of Chicago to complete high school in public school over the summer. She can’t wait to get on with her life and wedding with her fiancé, Sincere.

Things instantly start off bad as Sincere gets caught up doing the unthinkable before they're even miles apart. Like a domino effect, one lie revealed another, and another, leaving LaLa heartbroken and single in Chicago.

Finding comfort in her childhood best friend, Lil Will, LaLa finally can picture life without Sincere. Interested in LaLa too, Lil Will finds many of his old habits dying for the sake of LaLa. Keeping her happy and around him becomes a priority. Knowing her past, he knows he has to come at her in the most stand up way, if he’s going to come at her at all. As set as his mind is, though, Lil Will still has a girlfriend. A savage to the streets, he has a few. And bigger than that, Lil Will is in the street game deep. So deep that when drama spills into the high school hallways, it is Lil Will and his crew whose faces are all in it, leaving a bitter taste in LaLa’s mouth and an uncomfortable feeling in her heart.

Ignorant to what her childhood home has become, LaLa feels anything but safe in the place she thought was home, and she relies on Lil Will to help take away that feeling. The question is, can he do it? And if he can, at what cost?
