Fiona Winter's 'A Lead to Love' is a modern romance set against an unusual backdrop of a dog walking club in the North of England.

The club that is formed by Jess the central character when she is unexpectedly lumbered with her grandmother's new puppy, becomes more than just a literary mechanism to introduce a range of characters. It provides a vehicle for psychological commentary on the human condition, in particular the relationships between the sexes.

'A Lead to Love' examines the connections between men and women of different ages and types and is not frightened to touch on the darker side of those as well as highlighting more positive aspects. A charming and entertaining story combining a number of unexpected twists and turns with its underlying psychological message 'A Lead to Love' makes for a compelling read.
