Tiffany used to look forward to the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. She used to count the days until it was time for turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. For the next few weeks she delighted in Christmas carols, sparkling lights, homemade cookies, going to parties, but most of all, flying home again to New England to be with her family.
Then, on a rainy November day, her parents and brother were killed in a horrific crash that completely shut down the interstate. The accident changed EVERYTHING. She was all alone now, except for her sweet Australian Shepherd, Ruby. Now she dreaded the holidays. She had nowhere, and no one, to go home to; almost three years had passed, but her grief was still festering. Her heart was still in shambles. Still angry at God, she had no one to turn to. On top of everything else, her landlord decided to sell the condo she had called home for years. She decided to look for a house with a yard for Ruby. The only available property was small and dated. She reluctantly signed the lease and took time off from her job as a legal assistant to orchestrate her move. She instructed the movers to neatly stack all the boxes she had shipped back to Florida after the funeral. Once the movers left, the boxes filled the entire single car garage. She would open them eventually, but not now, not yet. She had no idea things were going to be different soon. She had no idea the move was perfectly timed to change EVERYTHING this holiday season...
