A lie can be kind or a lie can be cruel. A cruel lie can be hurtful, manipulative and destructive, which is the case for Oliver (nickname Al) Ripert, an attractive, charismatic, mid-level manager for the telephone company. Oliver and his wife Nebin live a comfortable, cozy life in Los Angeles with their two cats. Life is almost perfect until the completely unexpected happens turning Oliver's world upside down.

Oliver’s initial reaction to the lie is that everything will be okay because the truth always wins. However, it is not long before the lie takes on a life of it’s own, thus creating a need for Oliver to fight for his job, his reputation and his future.

Laced with salty humor, a major dose of anger, and just a dash of revenge making this book a great read.
