Styx & Stones by Ronnell D. Porter
In small town Coeur, nestled in the swampy Terrebonne Parish of Louisiana, newbie Hoodoo apprentice Charlotte Roote has a major problem arrive on the eve of her first test as a conjurer: she resurrects a corpse as a vampire, which is strictly forbidden by the laws set forth by the four Queens of Conjure.

When hoodoo conjurers and regular folk alike start dying in the area, she learns that she was set up by someone with ties to a dangerous cult that had long been thought to be gone, The Followers of The Day Mother.

The cult may be using a Skinwalker in order to achieve its goal – a gruesome ritual ending with a human sacrifice – and Charlotte struggles to uncover just who the skinwalker might be impersonating before it can kill again.

The problem is the creature could be anyone, even those close to her that she thought she could trust…
