Joseph Woods suffers from a mental illness, gambling and sex addictions. It was only until one day his life is about to change. Joseph Woods bumps into Matteus Anderson, an acupuncturist, and he questions Joseph on where he is heading in life.

Joseph life was spiraling and he needed help and he needed a purpose and little did he know a greater mission would be waiting for him. Matteus through acupuncture helps Joseph deal with his illness and his addiction problems and he also helps unlock some of his past life memories. Some of them lead to a lifetime in Egypt and some spirits are haunting Joseph from the past.

Joseph is also dealing with problems from his friend Shawn Williams. Shawn brings back a woman from Joseph's past Emily Dickens. Emily is a woman Joseph liked, but she didn't like him back. He was just a friend to her. And later on Shawn goes with Emily and Joseph sees them and this sparks Joseph to train spiritually.

After days of his depression, he seeks out Matteus and the spritual work that they do kicks into gear and Joseph makes a discovery about Matteus that Matteus revealed to him. This discovery was that Matteus's wife was murdered by Meir Ben-Haim. Meir is a leader in Egypt, who went crazy after a botched healing of Matteus. Only if they knew the truth.

This leads to a future trip to Egypt, but Matteus questions this trip back.

Matteus and Joseph have dilemmas to work out and Joseph's growth is seen in part one and two of this book. Matteus's story is about to begin in part two as he is hunted down by his nemisis Meir Ben-Haim.

This is a tale of revenge and forgiveness and it is the central theme. Who knows where it will take all the characters as the story prevails.
