Everyone thinks I have the perfect life. My husband is a powerful attorney in Dallas, and I secretly write about the love life I so long to have. After 13 years together, Will Riley made me give up on all my dreams to be his trophy wife. I find myself thrown out of my home with no job, no car, and nowhere to turn. I turn to the only place I have left, my family’s lake house in Paradise Hill. I grew up in this small lake town, but it’s been a long time since I lived here. I start my life over the best that I can. I reach out to an old friend who says she will help publish my romance stories that I secretly have been writing about. I long to find out what it is to be really loved by a man, and live my fantasies out that I write about. I gave up on the idea of ever becoming a mother after my ex goes out and gets a vasectomy without my knowledge. I settle into my lake house in Paradise Hill when I have an accident running, and meet a very fit and attractive Dr. Colt Emerson.
Colt came back to Paradise Hill after his 13 year marriage ended. His grandfather has been the town’s only doctor for the past 50 years. He tells Colt he wants to retire, and have his only grandson take over his practice. Colt, too, was in an unhappy marriage for years and his ex-never wanted to settle down and have children. So coming back to where he grew up, he, too, is looking for a fresh start the second time around. Colt meets Emma and falls in love with her. Colt and Emma have an instant connection both coming from 13 years of unhappy marriages. Emma’s sisters are leery about Emma and Colt’s relationship moving too fast. They have to convince them and Colts sister that they are ready to start this second chapter in their lives. After Will Riley finds out Emma is engaged and moving on, his life spins out of control and he makes a surprise visit to Paradise Hill to take his ex-wife back to Dallas. See what happens all in a Summer in Paradise Hill.
