After walking out on her life 15 years ago after her high school graduation Timala has to return to face the demons and bad memories that she was running from. Getting news that her mother had passed really didn’t affect her like it should have. The fact that she was being held responsible to bury a woman that never a mother, friend, or anything else is what bothered her the most. Will she be able to bury a woman that she felt never cared for her? Will she be able to tolerate her mother's family? Will she be able to lay all her past demons to rest?
Damari has gotten word that his high school bestfriend that had dissapeared 15 years ago was going to return to lay her mom to rest. He has set out to make her understand how much he cares for her and how much his world shattered when she left so many years ago. Will he be able to become a permanent fixture in her life again? Does she have feelings for him? Has too much time passes between them?
Jeff is Timala's current boyfriend. He is not the type to comfort, and care. However; he is the type to suspect and accuse. He knows that Timala has to go bury her mother but, being that she wants to go alone he is not convinced that is the only she is going home. Even though he told her he would stay home he follows her to see exactly what she is up to. Will he find what he expects? Will he be able to stay in the shadows and go undected? Is she being completely honest about why she is going back home?
