When the heir to MacKlenna Farm, paramedic Kit MacKlenna, discovers she is not who she thinks she is, she uses the magic of the ruby brooch to travel back in time to the mid-19th century American west to uncover her true identity. Her coming-of-age quest leads her down a dangerous path that could cost her not only her heart, but her life.

Scottish lawyer Cullen Montgomery has a well-planned life that doesn’t include an eccentric, risk-taking woman, but that doesn’t stop his defenses from slipping when he sees Kit risk her life to save her traveling companions. Will Cullen stay his course to practice law in San Francisco or will he surrender to the only woman he has ever met whose heart beats in rhythm with his?

˃˃˃ The Last MacKlenna

While planning the 160th anniversary gala of her family’s Napa, California winery, Meredith Montgomery discovers a lump in her breast. Instead of waiting at home for the results, she escapes to Edinburgh for the holidays where she loses herself in researching her family tree for the gala’s brochure. Two days before Christmas she meets the CEO of MacKlenna Farm, Scotsman Elliott Fraser. Meredith finds Elliott an irresistible distraction from her fear and anxiety. A crisis on his Kentucky farm tears them apart within days of meeting but their passion refuses to be quieted, setting off an explosive chain of events that could destroy the MacKlenna family legacy forever.

˃˃˃ THE RUBY BROOCH Reviewer's Comment

Anyone who enjoys reading the NYT Sunday Styles section about weddings & how people meet; who are interested in attraction & the intricacies of love, will enjoy this story. And anyone who has found her true love at some time in her life, will delight in the happy ending.

With so much negativity in the news, it's good to turn it off & refresh your spirit & renew your faith in the goodness that exists in the world. Reading this story made me happy, and I'm smiling as I write these words.

˃˃˃ THE LAST MACKLENNA Reviewer's Comment

The Last MacKlenna is a great romantic read. You can't help but ooh and ah at the wealth that surrounds strong leads Elliott and Meredith. Lowry Logan elegantly and purposefully gives her readers a great taste of Meredith's life as president of her family-owned vineyard and Elliott's in the high powered world of thoroughbred race horses. These two broken souls fall deeply in love and we root hard for them to overcome their many obstacles. And I would be remiss if I didn't add that this novel comes complete with a gripping mystery--one that will make your heart pound. Along for Meredith and Elliott's journey are a fine group of quirky, strong and loyal characters.
