Lacey’s life had been turned upside down since she had been thrust into the world of Jesse and the Broken Angels Motorcycle gang. Now an old threat was emerging that was to change the whole game for them both, and turn their life on the run into something far more deadly. Could Jesse and Lacey’s love pull them through, or would this be the end for them both?

*****WARNING***** this 6500+ word short story contains graphic descriptions of passionate sex, violence and drug taking set in the wild world of motorcycle gangs, and is intended only for mature readers of 18+ years.

Riding hard is the second story in the Broken Angels MC series. While it is a stand-alone story, the whole tale began in Broken Angels 1: Thrust of Passion, and I highly recommend you read that first to find out how Lacey and Jesse got together. It is available from all good eBook retailers. S.F.xx

SAMPLE EXCERPT :-
Jesse reached over and grabbed Lacey’s hand, yanking her from her seat and making a break for the open front door, but he wasn’t quick enough. One of Blackbeard’s crew appeared in front of him, and with a flash of light Lacey’s saw him draw a blade from his belt. He smiled at them and beckoned them forward.
“I’m taking your left eye in payment for that” he spat.
“Anytime you’re ready” Jesse growled back, and drew his own knife from his waistband. He barely had time to move when one of the other men came at him from the side and smashed a pool cue across his shoulders. Lacey screamed as Jesse slumped forward onto his knees. The biker with the knife kicked Jesse square in the face and he tumbled over onto his back groaning, blood pouring from his nose. Blackbeard grabbed Lacey from behind, and brought his mouth up to her ear.
“You’re gonna get what’s coming to you you little hick bitch.” Lacey could smell stale tobacco on his breath and he stank of body odour.
The three men of his crew had now surrounded Jesse and we’re kicking him viciously as he lay curled into a ball on the floor trying to protect himself. Suddenly the door to the bar was thrown open, and a group of bikers piled in brandishing knives, baseball bats and bike chains. Lacey recognised Weasel at their head as he ran to the nearest Skull biker, lashing at the side of his head with a heavy bike chain. All hell broke loose in the bar as several other patrons joined in the brawl and chairs, glasses and fists were soon flying all over. Blackbeard had let go of Lacey to join the fight, and she quickly went to Jesse who was still lying on the floor. He groaned as she helped him to his feet, one arm held to his side. Jesse hung his other arm over her shoulder, and Lacey guided him away from the melee towards the toilets at the rear of the bar. She pushed the door open and led him inside to a cubicle. He sat down on the pan, and Lacey bolted the door behind them.
“Oh baby, are you ok?” she said, and hugged him around his neck.
“Yeah, I’ll survive. Ow, be careful honey” he replied, and eased his head from side to side “Think they loosened my brains.”
“I’m sorry baby. Let me help you get cleaned up.” She lifted a roll of toilet paper from on top of the cistern behind him and fed off a wad. Lacey unbolted the door and peeked outside, then quickly nipped across the bathroom to the sink and wet the wad under the sink tap. She came back to the cubicle and bolted it shut again.
“Here, let me” she said, and started to clean the dried blood from Jesse’s face. He winced when she pressed too hard on his nose.
“I think your nose is broken.”
“Wouldn’t be the first time.
