Since the age of ten, with her first job of delivering newspapers, Stacey Taylor had always imagined how the rich really lived. From what she saw and what friends told her, she was convinced that they had it easy, and they had no idea what it was like to struggle in life. So when she spotted a job opening for a housekeeper in the local newspaper for a Mr. Adam Anderson, she believed she had found the gold mine! And how hard was it to clean?! After all, she did clean her own apartment. And the paychecks would quickly make her never-ending bills disappear. She was certain that her troubles would soon be over.

Yet, after working for Mr. Anderson, what she had first believed to be true about the rich turned out to be the biggest lie that she had ever believed. As the old saying goes, never judge a book by its cover. And this was a cover she shouldn't have taken so lightly. There are certain rules to follow, yet, not everyone is made to obey.

Although Mr. Anderson is familiar with wealth, he also holds a dark secret. He is certainly unlike anyone Stacey has ever met. And she soon discovers that asking for more will also require her to give even more than she had expected. The lessons she learns at the Anderson Mansion will never be taught in school, nor will she ever view the rich as she once did before.

How much is this lesson truly worth to her?
