Planet KY 690 has been picked by the United Earth Space Command to house a new outpost. They've sent their best scientist to run tests and collect samples from this planet which has no apparent animal or insect life, simply plants. Lieutenant Ellen Rialto lands and be gins her duties but soon learns that she is not alone on this world, and in outer space, there is no one to hear your screams of pleasure.

“Should I clear the area first?”

“No, MARC. I’ll take care of it. Go ahead and build the towers.” She marched out across the yellow dirt as he whirred off to his first build zone. As she touched the first vine, she drew back with a gasp. It was…warm. She frowned and hesitantly reached out and touched it again. It still felt overly warm, even for a vine in sunlight and it seemed to pulse beneath her touch. *****
