Cilly was tired of her handsome next door neighbor ignoring her, and most of all, she was furious that he didn't return her pretty plate after she baked him cookies to welcome him to the neighborhood. The other neighbors weren't happy with him either, and Cilly decided that a series of pranks that the neighbors blamed on Wilson would be a good way to get even.

Retired policeman turned writer, Wilson Shyre, noticed the pretty lady next door, but when he saw her come home and enter her house through a door she'd left unlocked all day, he was afraid someone could be hiding inside, waiting to hurt her. He rushed inside to save her, and when he heard her scream, he rushed into her bedroom. When Cilly scolded him for scaring her to death, he decided she needed a spanking to remind her to obey certain safety precautions. After he left, Cilly wondered what he would do if he ever learned she was behind the pranks, and she feared she knew…
