What happens to characters before they show up in a romance? Read six short stories, prequel's if you will, to my six back listed Western Historical Romances available on Kindle. Each story is followed by a short synopsis of each book and a sensual scene between the hero and heroine so you can get a feel for the way the book is written.
These are stories of young women who survived all the wild and wicked West had to offer and came through stronger and happier. Read about a woman who sets out to avenge a wrong and finds understanding, a photographer who begins a new life out West, a girl sold as a wife who fights to escape harsh circumstances, a Cherokee slave and dream walker who stows away on a wagon bound for California, a woman who searches for a brother lost to the war, and a ranch owner who takes on a land baron to save her ranch. All find love in the process, but that's what romances are about. A heroines struggle to make a life of her own and to find the perfect man in the process. Isn't that what we all want? Sometimes the most fun, though, is in the process of getting what we want. All the danger, excitement, mystery and sorrow are what makes up the core of our lives.
So come with me and explore the lives of these heroines prior to the opening pages of their stories. Perhaps then you'll want to read what happens to them, what dreams are fulfilled, what wishes granted, what conflicts fought, and what men they loved.
