Life in Delta has always moved at a much slower pace, but when the sheriff retires and brings in someone from out of town to replace him, things start to pick up.
Gill Dalton, a former NYPD officer, rolls into Delta not knowing what to expect out of his new position as sheriff, or his new life in the small town. One thing he never expected to find was Millie Woodsen. From the moment he laid eyes on her at the Harvest Festival Dance, he knew she was something special, but Millie’s tragic past is almost as legendary as her beauty. Despite knowing how fragile she is, Gill finds himself drawn to the lonely local beauty.
