The demon and the recluse.

For a thousand years, Demeana has been living in Hell, damned to serve Satan as a top level demon. But she also had another mistress, the Goddess Femilla, who sends her the evil doers Demeana punishes. In another book, Lord of My Dreams, Femilla made a fundamental mistake, sending the wrong man to Demeana’s domain. This man opened Demeana’s eyes, and softened what remained of her heart, so that she lost the will to serve Satan.

But there’s no escape from the devil, not until Femilla decides to give Demeana a second chance at life.
Returned to Earth, stripped of her powers, Demeana’s first night back as a mortal woman is one of nightmares. First she’s ambushed, only to be saved by a terribly scarred being she suspects is a fellow demon intent on forcing her back into Hell.
This scarred man is Erik Bowden, burnt so badly, no amount of reconstructive surgery was able to return his face to anything resembling normal. Since his accident Erik has hidden himself from the world, living the life of recluse, so the last thing he wants is to find a beautiful but terrified woman on his doorstep who thinks he’s a monster.

Demeana soon learns that not all her powers are gone, and the one she’s left with, is destined to cause her and Erik all kinds of problems.
