Dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their romantic getaway, Jackie Brown's boss insists she go on to the Runaway Bay resort to secure grant money from the head of a foundation who is staying there. But Jackie's arch enemy Reade Hunter is there, too--planning to take the grant himself. Jackie aims to win the grant and beat Reade at his own game. This time, though, Reade doesn't seem to mind losing the grant--or his heart.
