The Journeyman (Little Love Stories) by Lindsay Kiernan
Introducing a new series by Lindsay Kiernan. Little Seaforde Love Stories are short novellas that take place in Seaforde, a small coastal hamlet in southern England in 1808. Thirty years ago storms destroyed the town's economy when the docks and half of the town washed away. Nearly all of the villagers gave up and left, leaving a few loyal families. To revive the area they need businesses, new residents and more importantly a bit of romance.

Sarah Hatton didn't want much in life. A comfortable home and a handsome husband would have been nice. What really mattered was how she got there. Sarah dreamed of living a love story that would be remembered for generations, like her grandparents. What she didn't want was the entire town gossiping about an arranged marriage with John Waters.

After finishing four years of smithy training John Waters has returned to Seaforde as a journeyman, ready to open his own shop in the hopes of rebuilding the town. Everyone in Seaforde has an idea of whom he should marry but only John knows. To the dismay of every eligible girl in town, he isn’t telling.
