In 1816 Ireland, Evleen O'Fallon is told by Lord Thomas Linberry that her young half-brother Patrick is heir to a vast English estate. But Patrick can only become the next Viscount Monfret if someone accompanies him to England. Suddenly, Evleen finds herself an outcast in London's "ton", and no one will marry a 24-year old Irish woman. But Lord Thomas cannot hide his attraction to the lovely lass.
